Epcot’s Fountain of Nations, the iconic central fountain which has been dancing for park guests since 1982, quietly closed for good on the night of September 8th. The fountain has closed to make way for an all new Epcot central spine. The project was announced at this year’s D23 Expo out in Anaheim.
The fountain is famous due to its “dance performances” that happen every 15 minutes. The fountain comes to life and moves to the sounds of various different sound tracks. We happened to be at Epcot to witness the final showing. The very last public fountain show was to the song “Celebrate The Future Hand in Hand” from Walt Disney World’s Millennium Celebration (1999-2001). Check it out below!
