Gwazi RMC Hybrid Coaster Coming to Busch Gardens in 2020 (RUMOR)
|We have some exciting rumors for you that we’ve been waiting to share! Today Busch Gardens Tampa announced that a new SkyRocket II launched coaster will be coming to the park in 2019 The ride will be called “Tigris”, and it will be a clone of Tempesto and Electric Eel. This is one of the first 2019 announcements for SEAS, and we should be expecting news out of SeaWorld San Diego soon.
SeaWorld San Diego is going to be announcing a new “coaster”. As rumored by Coaster101, we can confirm that they will be building a “Horizon” by Skyline attractions. The ride will be opening in 2019. What’ll be interesting about this addition is how it interacts with the beautifully themed environment that will be built around it. Expect to see lots of rock work and water features. Think of the “springs” at Disney Springs.
Busch Gardens Tampa confirmed that they will be replacing Gwazi in 2020. This aligns with what we at Park Pass have heard. A hybrid coaster by Rocky Mountain Construction will be coming to BGT in 2020. It will not be the Raptor track. We think (and we are pretty sure!) it will be a conversion of Gwazi. Stay tuned as more details emerge. Also- look out for SeaWorld Orlando, as we think they will be LAUNCHING into 2020 with a great new addition. All of this information is rumored until confirmed by the park.
Just wondering, could you provide a picture or give us a more in-depth description of what the SWSD coaster might look like? Hard to imagine how they might do the rockwork since it’s in a pretty tight space.
