Rocky Mountain Is Going Vertical

Rocky Mountain Construction, the company who is orchestrating the renovation of the former Gwazi roller coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa, has started vertical construction on the spot of the closed ride. Plenty of new structures have appeared throughout the attraction area. There is now a large mix of the old Gwazi foundation and supports mixed in with new foundations and supports that were recently built and installed. Purple track, which will be used for the new ride, can also be spotted around the area. When the ride opens in 2020 it’ll be a “hybrid” coaster, mixing a traditional wooden roller coaster with the thrill elements of modern day steel coasters.
