Top 5 Sights From The Orlando Eye

The Orlando Eye is one of Orlando’s newest attractions! The Eye stands at 400 feet tall, and is located at the all new I-Drive 360 entertainment complex. I-Drive 360 houses many great attractions, such as Sea Life (which you can read about HERE) and Madame Tussauds! The Eye is the centerpiece of this complex, and it is one eye catcher!

Before you embark on your journey to 400 feet, you are first shown a 4-D pre-show film, it’s in 3D, and it includes wind and water effects! The show is similar to what a “Soarin’ Over Florida” would be like. The show is great! It even includes an orange scent!

You then get on the wheel. 400 feet. Scary to some, breathtaking to others. The views of central Florida you will see from the Orlando Eye are amazing, below is a list of 5 of my personal favorites!

Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is Orlando’s most iconic attraction. The views of the resort from the Orlando Eye are great. You can see all four parks, Downtown Disney and more! The observation wheel provides a great vantage point to view the fireworks from Walt Disney World’s two parks that have shows! Spaceship Earth is clearly visible, along with the Tower Of Terror, Expedition Everest, Space Mountain, The Contemporary, and best of all.. Cinderella’s Castle!

Big Sandlake and Little Sandlake

Lets take a break from viewing major attractions, and lets take a look at some of the beautiful nature in Florida. Little Sandlake and Big Sandlake are two lakes in the heart of Central Florida that go mostly un-seen by tourists. The view is of natural Florida nature, and it is quite beautiful, especially during a sunset.

Universal Orlando Resort

There’s nothing like seeing the Incredible Hulk coaster launch guests to 67 miles per hour from the top of the Orlando Eye! Universal Orlando Resort is fully visible from the Orlando Eye, and the view is great! You can see Hogwarts, Jurassic Park, The Incredible Hulk Coaster and more! The coolest part however, is that at night you can watch the fireworks from Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular: 100 Years Of Movie Memories from the top of the wheel!

Downtown Orlando

Another area that mostly goes un-seen by tourists that travel to Orlando is downtown. The downtown Orlando skyline provides a spectacular view for Orlando Eye riders to see. You can see the world famous Amway Center, the Suntrust Tower and all of downtown!

The Florida Skyline

The Florida skyline is a beautiful and natural phenomenon. Although its rather flat, it is dazzled with lakes and water features, along with many unique buildings and sight-lines. The Orlando Eye is one of the only places in Orlando where a guest can experience a view like this. All of Downtown Orlando, International Drive, Walt Disney World, Legoland, Kennedy Space Center, Fun Spot, and Sea World is visible from the Orlando Eye. It is an amazing thing to see Fun Spots 300 foot tall Sky Coaster from the Orlando Eye, or Epcot’s Spaceship Earth. The Orlando Eye is not an attraction you should skip, it really brings out the beauty of Florida.
